From Virginia Western Community College: ROANOKE – Virginia Western Community College went into a lockdown situation on Monday, May 9, at approximately 11:51 a.m. and the lockdown was lifted at 12:29 p.m. after an investigation by campus police. At this time, it is believed the lockdown was automatically triggered by a potentially faulty emergency pull station. Campus is safe and has returned to normal operations.
