The Virginia Tech Athletic Department will see their budget increase to more than 229 million dollars over the next four years following a 13-1 vote by the Board of Visitors this morning. VT President Tim Sands said this is chance to reset and be mor aligned with the current realities of the ACC and NCAA landscape:
The Board of Visitors Plan calls for a limited increase in student fees, and targeted fundraising campaign. Opponents of the increased athletics budget passes costs to families who are already struggling to afford a college education.
