The Virginia Department of Health is reporting no new COVID-19 deaths or new related hospitalizations in the Roanoke Valley in the latest 24-hour reporting period. However state officials are reporting 77 new coronavirus cases among Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Salem and Botetourt County. According to the department, there are 12 new cases in Roanoke City, 14 new cases in Roanoke County, 48 new cases in Salem, and 3 new cases in Botetourt County.
