In Salem, Renee Ferris Turk led the race for three open City Council seats with 27.2% of the vote, followed by John E. Saunders at 26.4% and Anne Marie Green at 23.2%. J.W. “Jim” Wallace III finished fourth with 22.4%. For Salem Sheriff, incumbent Christopher Shelor retained his seat with 54.5% of the vote, defeating challenger Jonathan Branson.
