So his non-profit “The Making Foundation” is opening a center on Patterson Avenue where he will teach Roanoke City middle-schoolers about good-paying career options that don’t involve a four-year degree. Roanoke City will pay the tuition for 65 students to take Dykstra’s hands-on classes at “The Maker Mart.” Roanoke Mayor Sherman Lea will help cut the ribbon later today
