UPDATED 3:55 pm: Botetourt County officials say they have suspended the search. They ask Troutville area residents to remain vigilant.

State and local emergency crews in Botetourt County searched the Mooses Hollow Road area north of Troutville much of Tuesday for a missing man. James Edward Walker, Junior hasn’t been since he left his home late Saturday night. More from WFIR’s Evan Jones.

There’s no suggestion of foul play or anything criminal, but there are concerns that Walker may have suffered a medical event of some kind after leaving his home. Relatives tell investigators Walked appeared confused when walking out. Searchers  scoured the area around the home last night. The resumed the effort this morning.Walker is 40 years old, 230 pounds with long brown hair. Anyone who knows anything about his disappearance is asked to call the Botetourt County Sheriff’s office at 540-473-8631.
