Roanoke City Manager Chris Morrill played it coy this morning when asked if he had heard that Oregon-based Deschutes Brewery had decided to build their east coast plant in Roanoke – he wouldn’t say much about it. City Council candidate Duane Howard told WFIR yesterday that a state official told him Deschutes had chosen Roanoke over Asheville, North Carolina for its east coast beer-making operation.
