The Roanoke County Police Department is conduction an awareness campaign today – right before New Year’s Eve – called Project Sticker Shock, sponsored by Virginia ABC and focused on preventing minors from purchasing alcohol or getting a person 21 or older to do it for them. Justin Hubbard was one of the county school resource officers taking part; he spoke at a Kroger in Southwest County, where he had help from students today in placing those warnings on cases of beer during Project Sticker Shock:
