Roanoke Police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery two nights ago at the 7-11 store on the 3600 block of Williamson Road. Police say the gunman walked in shortly after midnight and demanded money. The video shows the story clerk complying before the robber takes off with the cash.

The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a business robbery that occurred on December 13, 2011. Officers responded at 12:19 a.m. to the 7-11 convenience store located in the 3600 block of Williamson Road. The suspect reportedly entered the business, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled. He was last seen traveling south on Williamson Road on foot. No one was hurt. No arrests have been made. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, black coat, and dark jeans. Anyone with information regarding this or other crimes should call the Roanoke Police Department at 853-5959 or Crime Line at 344-8500. Crime Line may offer a monetary reward for any information leading to an arrest.
