Democrat Senate candidate Tim Kaine made a brief visit to Roanoke today, visiting the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He met with leaders of companies who have located or formed in Roanoke because the School of Medicine exists here. The former governor says it’s a good example of what properly-applied government spending can do: create construction jobs short term and economic benefits longer term.
