The collection of bagged leaves is underway in Roanoke City. Residents need to place their biodegradable paper bags at the curb this week or the weeks of November 28th and December 12th.Details from WFIR’s Bob Clark.

Residents should put their bags of leaves at the curb the same day as paper recycling. City officials say residents can also dispose of their leaves by mulch mowing, composting, use of a private lawn maintenance service or by using the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority. You can purchase the paper bags at home centers, hardware store and other retailers
