The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office has seen cancer afflict both former and present staff members, and it is conducting a fund-raiser in high heels a week from Friday to help raise funds for cancer awareness and research. The “High Heel Diva Dash” is set for 6:00 pm June 15th near the former Victory Stadium, part of the annual Relay for Life. More from WFIR’s Evan Jones.
