Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley has cut the ribbon on completed project number 292, this time the renovation of a century-old house on Dale Avenue Southeast. The Dale Avenue Habitat property in the 1600 block was the 2024 “Women Build House,” where most of those doing the sweat equity were female. This rehabbed home came from Roanoke City’s land bank of blighted properties waiting for redevelopment opportunities. Karen Mason is Habitat’s executive director:
