They’re called Abdonominal Aortic Aneurysms, described as “silent killers”, and they occur when a bulging blood vessel in your belly button area bursts. Those most at risk include anyone 60 and over with a family history, smokers past or present, and people with hypertension, high cholesterol or diabetes. The free screening is this Saturday at the Franklin Road K-Mart pharmacy, and you must register in advance.
