Here is further information for this event:
Join Park Rangers on the summit of Sharp Top Mountain as we tell the story of Peaks of Otter and view the 4th of July Fireworks in the distance. Plan at least 1.5 hours for the 3-mile 1,300 foot climb to the summit. Be sure to bring flashlights with extra batteries for the 3 mile descent in the darkness. Don’t forget to carry plenty of drinking water with you as there is no food/water or restrooms on the mountain. *Program will be cancelled during inclement weather. – Blue Ridge Parkway, Peaks of Otter, Milepost 86, Bedford – 540-586-4496
