A single-vehicle crash occurred yesterday afternoon in Buchanan County killing one adult and two children. According to state police Tennessee man Justin Blevins Sr. was driving the Volkswagen Passat when he lost control and ran off the side of Route 600 — less than a mile west of Route 681 — striking a tree. Blevins was flown to a medical center for serious injuries. The three passengers in the vehicle died at the scene. The deceased include Carmela Johnson, 18, of Honaker, Va., and Blevins’ two sons, Justin Blevins Jr., 5, and Jonah Blevins, 3. The children were in child seats and Johnson was wearing a seat belt.
