Long-time WSLS-10 news anchor Karen McNew is leaving TV for a communications position with Carilion Clinic; she starts there in January. McNew was with Channel 10 for more than 16 years. “I have accepted the position of Senior Communications Consultant for Carilion Clinic. I have enjoyed my 16 1/2 years with WSLS 10. However, I am thrilled to be part of the Carilion Clinic mission of health and wellness through quality patient care and community programs! I start January 5, 2015,” said McNew on her Facebook page.
