Gish-Mill-jpgVinton Town Council voted last night to buy the historic Gish’s Mill property, currently owned by Holdren’s Country Store. The store closed in December 2014 and was put on the market earlier this year. The town bought the property, which dates back to the 1770’s, for $122,850. The money will come from the town’s reserve account. The town says the property is a critical piece of property for the future expansion of the Glade Creek Greenway Trail, which will connect Tinker Creek Greenway to Vinyard park and beyond into Roanoke and Botetourt Counties.
