First-term Republican Congressman Robert Hurt seems assured of a November challenge from a retired military officer in Virginia’s 5th District. The only question for now is: which one? WFIR’s Evan Jones reports on the latest candidate to enter the race: Fauqier County’s John Douglass.

Peyton Williams of Charlottesville announced his candidacy in January; he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in Army Special Forces.

Yesterday, John Douglass of Fauquier County announced he is also running. Douglass is a retired Air Force Brigadier General.

5th District Democrats select their candidate at a convention May 19tth.
