From Roanoke County Schools: ROANOKE – The Roanoke County Police Department has charged Benjamin Jessee, 32, with one count of assault and battery of a minor following an incident involving the alleged inappropriate touching of a student.
Mr. Jessee has been dismissed as a substitute teacher/instructional assistant.
“As soon as we learned of this incident, we immediately began our investigation,” said Roanoke County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Greg Killough. “We strongly condemn this behavior. We do not condone any action by our staff that places students in harm or danger. We are fully cooperating with the Roanoke County Police Department and the Department of Social Services,” Dr. Killough added.
