State Sen. John Edwards
After 28 General Assembly sessions in Richmond, State Senator John Edwards says that’s enough. The Roanoke-based Democrat will not run for another term this fall. Edwards says in a statement that he “thoroughly enjoyed” his many years of service and appreciates those who urged him to run again. He will continue to practice law and wants to spend more time with family.
