UPDATE: Roanoke police say the leak has been repaired.
From Roanoke Fire-EMS: Crews are on scene of a sizable gas leak at 13th St. and Wasena Terrace SW. We have evacuated about 8 houses. Roanoke Gas is on scene but it could take a few hours to mitigate the situation. Roanoke Police has several streets in the area blocked. We are asking folks to avoid the area.
