The Roanoke Police Department has a new tool that allows people to see major felonies in their neighborhood. Anyone can log onto the department’s Safer City Roanoke Facebook page and see crimes like murder, rape, aggravated assault, robbery, arson and more. It has color coded symbols to show crimes committed during the past six months. The new program launched Wednesday and you don’t have to be a Facebook member to access it.
