The latest statewide poll from Quinnipiac University finds 76% of Virginians support requiring drug testing for welfare recipients. Peter Brown is Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. He told WFIR, “across all demographic and political lines there is support for the idea of drug testing for welfare recipients.”
On another issue, Virginia voters say by a 49% to 41% margin that it is a good idea to make it easier to fire public school teachers. Virginians in the poll also give all statewide officials a positive job rating. “There is no other state in which Quinnipiac polls that every statewide official has a postiive job rating,” Brown said.
