Panda Express finally arrived in the Roanoke Valley about two years ago in the Tanglewood area – and now the casual dining Chinese restaurant has opened the doors at Valley View. Roanoke City approved a rezoning request that led to building the new corporate-owned Panda Express at Valley View in what had been part of the Wal-Mart parking lot.
A ribbon cutting today attracted Regional Chamber board officers and staff, several Roanoke City councilmembers – and the Northside High School marching band, which had to perform INSIDE the new Panda Express at Valley View, due to the rainy weather. Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eric Sichau was there for a ribbon cutting this morning:
