A short time later, a Botetourt County sheriff’s deputy spotted a vehicle matching that description in the 3800 block of Lee Highway. The deputy stopped the vehicle and apprehended the suspect without incident. The suspect was identified as Victor Eugene Angus, age 64, of Stella, North Carolina. Angus was charged with the robbery at the Carter Bank & Trust on Hershberger. During an interview with detectives, Angus admitted to robbing the Carter Bank & Trust on Peters Creek Road in Roanoke on June 4th. A warrant was also obtained charging Angus with that robbery.
