The 15th annual “Load the Bus” campaign kicked off this afternoon at local Wal-Mart stores. Families shopping for school supplies during this tax-free weekend through Sunday are urged to purchase and then donate extra school supplies for needy kids. Rita Bishop is the Superintendent for Roanoke City Public Schools. She outside the Valley View Wal-Mart, where local students started loading donated school supplies after a short ceremony.
