Conservative Republican and 23 year military veteran Harry Griego has officially filed for the Republican primary ballot in Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District. Griego will challenge House Judiciary Chairman and two-decade incumbent Bob Goodlatte for the Republican nomination via a primary. Griego said “the Sixth is an extremely conservative district that reliably votes strongly Republican. The only real question for this election is whether the citizens here in our district choose to be represented by someone who long ago broke his promise to serve for a maximum of 12 years, or whether they want to be represented by a fresh face and a citizen statesman.” He spoke to WFIR previously about what he said were Goodlatte’s broken promises:
