The Virginia Museum of Transportation’s bicentennial locomotive, the N&W 1776 is getting a makeover. Yesterday, the locomotive was rolled away from the museum and will soon go to Norfolk Southern in Chattanooga to be repainted to its original red, white and blue colors. It’ll be back in Roanoke in time for a July 4th celebration at the museum. WFIR’s Timothy Martin reports.
