A freezer upgrade is paying off big for the Feeding America Southwest Virginia food bank in Salem.  Food bank spokesman Jeremy Butterfield says the “green” upgrade is saving the food bank $25,000 in labor annually.  The annual energy savings is right around $38,000.  If you add it all up, Butterfield says it’s the equivalent of saving more than 195,000 meals for the hungry.
