The Commonwealth’s 4:00 p.m. burning law goes into effect Friday. The law has been around since 1950, and it prohibits burning before 4:00 p.m. each day until April 30th if the fire is in or within 300 feet of woodland, brushland or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials.
