Roanoke City Fire-EMS officials say a candle started a house fire overnight on the 4800-block of Northwood Drive, not far from Peters Creek Road. Officials say the first responding crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from the house. One person was taken for hospital treatment. Damage is estimated at $85,000.
