Seven people are displaced after an attic fire last night in Roanoke. It was reported at 9:04pm in the 1600 block of Chapman Avenue. When Roanoke Fire-EMS arrived they found light smoke showing from the eaves of the roof and upon further investigation found a fire in the attic. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical and damages are approximately $12,000. The American Red Cross is helping the residents.
