The latest Democrat to throw his hat in the ring for Roanoke City Council is Wilton Kennedy. Kennedy teaches at Jefferson College of Health Sciences and at the Virginia Tech Carilion Medical School. He said today he wants more residents to join the middle class and share in Roanoke’s recent success. Kennedy is now one of six Democrats vying for three City Council nominations at the February 13th firehouse primary.
