The deadline to cast an absentee ballot for next week’s election is drawing near — tomorrow is the last day to do so. Local voter registrars’ offices say they’re busy, with absentee vote numbers so far suggesting a strong turnout on Tuesday, perhaps bigger in some places than four years ago.
