Cheap travel between Roanoke and DC courtesy of Amtrak

Its true – between October 1st and the 10th you can travel from Roanoke to Washington DC and back by train – for just ten dollars each way. Amtrak calls it a special promotion to celebrate a decade of passenger rail in the Commonwealth.
