Saying Roanoke is “ready for the next wave of leaders” Michelle Dykstra formally announced her independent campaign for City Council this morning. Dykstra is president of the Mountain View Neighborhood Association and manager at the City Market Building. She says making Roanoke a more livable city and creating more good paying jobs are priorities. At 33 she is the third “millenial” to throw her hat into the ring for City Council:
