FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Thursday, (Sept 25) at 1:50 p.m. on Route 834, two tenths of a mile South of Route 1129 in Franklin County.
A 2006 Subaru Legacy was traveling north on Route 834, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver was identified as Kathy Jean Turman, 72, of Glade Hill, Va. Ms. Turman was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
