A groundbreaking ceremony this morning will mark the start of construction for a new South Salem Elementary School, set to open at the start of the 2013-14 school year. A $15 million bond issue will pay for the building, and the Salem school system has another $2 million already set aside for technology and furniture.  WFIR’s Evan Jones has the story.
