Equipment operators from VDOT’s 12-county Salem District are receiving simulation-based snowplow training today in preparation for winter weather.  VDOT spokesman Jason Bond says operators will go through classroom training first and then take turns on simulators, which provide a 270-degree line of vision and realistic steering and controls.  WFIR’s Timothy Martin has more on this story.
