Roanoke police are investigation several small, intentionally set fires in southeast. Here are the dates, times and locations:
- March 4 at 12:46 a.m. officers found a trash can fire in the alley behind the 1000 block of 9th Street SE.
- March 6 at 11:20 p.m. officers found two fires. Both were in trash cans in the alley behind the 700 block of Bullitt Avenue SE.
- March 6 at 11:27 p.m. officers found a dumpster fire in the 800 block of Jamison Avenue SE.
Police say none of the fires involved any significant damage to property. Officers have increased patrols in the area. The causes of the fires are under investigation. Police encourage citizens to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and if you see anything call 911.
