Roanoke County Attorney Paul Mahoney announced Monday that he will be retiring, effective December 1. Before working for Roanoke County he served as County Attorney in Montgomery County from 1979 to 1984. Prior to that, he was in private practice in Falls Church, and also served as assistant city attorney in Falls Church after graduation from law school.
