UPDATED May 19 — From Town of Vinton Police: In regard to suspect Randy Fink who was involved in the vehicle pursuit on May 10, 2015, he was captured on May 17, 2015 and is currently being held at the Roanoke City Jail with no bond. Charges against Fink from the Vinton Police Department include felony eluding, felony property damage, and driving suspended, and he was also wanted by Roanoke Police in regard to the larceny of a firearm.
EARLIER: On May 10, 2015, Vinton Police officers received a lookout from Roanoke City PD in regard to a black Cadillac that may be operated by a person involved in the theft of a gun(s) from Roanoke, and warrants for felony grand larceny had been obtained for the accused, Randy Lee Fink, white male, DOB June 13, 1985. Fink is 5’9” and approximately 155 pounds, in regard to that theft. A short time after the lookout was given, Vinton officers observed the black Cadillac in question traveling on E. Cleveland Ave. in the Town of Vinton.

After identifying the vehicle as the subject of the lookout, Sgt. Quesinberry activated his emergency lights in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the Cadillac began to speed away and pursuit ensued. The pursuit entered Roanoke and the vehicle ultimately crashed into a garage type structure off of Albemarle Ave, SE. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and a perimeter was set up by responding officers from Roanoke City as well as Vinton PD and Roanoke County PD. The suspect was not located after an extensive search was conducted, and officers are currently gathering more information about this incident. Warrants have been issued for felony larceny, felony eluding, felony property damage, and driving suspended.
