On Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a citizen information meeting about the proposed Route 220 Safety Improvement Project that will reconstruct the 10-mile section of Route 220 between Iron Gate and the James River bridge near Eagle Rock in Botetourt County. The meeting will be held at Eagle Rock Elementary School. VDOT says the meeting will give citizens or organizations the opportunity to give their input on the proposed project. It will be held in an ‘open-house’ format with a brief presentation taking place at 5:15 and 6:15. VDOT representatives will be there to discuss the project and to answer questions.
