The Roanoke Arts Commission is seeking up to 10 artists to exhibit in the third Art in Roanoke, a temporary sculpture exhibition running May 16, 2015 through Nov. 15, 2016 in Elmwood Park. The theme of the show is “The Natural City.” The Roanoke Art Commission will accept applications through February 6. The application and instructions along with photos and drawings of the site can be viewed here under “current calls to artists.” Artists chosen to participate will receive a stipend of up to $4,500 per selected artwork. In addition, one artist will receive a $1,000 Best in Show award. Voting will take place Memorial Day Weekend during Festival in the Park.
