Tuesday’s election will be the first for Virginia’s new voter ID law, one requiring voters to present state-approved identification before casting ballots. Local elections officials say they encountered no problems during the absentee voting period, but they have trained poll workers on the new law and will post the list of approved ID forms in each polling place.
