ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — The Roanoke-based 540 Powerhouse 7U and 11U football teams have secured the AYF Regional Championship title after a stellar performance in Woodbridge, Virginia. The victory earned them a coveted spot at the American Youth Football (AYF) National Championships in Naples, Florida, scheduled to take place from Dec. 8 to Dec. 14.
To turn this opportunity into reality, the teams are calling on the community for support. Donations are needed to help cover travel, food, and lodging expenses for the young athletes.
