The Democrat running for Congress in the 9th District has spent this week focusing on health care. Anthony Flaccavento disagrees with Rep. Morgan Griffith, who has joined his fellow Republicans in the House in repeatedly voting to repeal the Obama Administration’s health care bill. Flaccavento says the health care law addresses important needs, extending coverage to most uninsured Americans and putting a focus on primary and preventative care. Flaccavento, a farmer and entrepreneur from Abingdon, says he also disagrees with Griffith on a number of other issues, from tax policy to coal industry regulations.
In an interview with WFIR, Flaccavento outlined the issues important to his campaign.
