The American Cancer Society in Roanoke is making plans for a first-ever event — and this one is all uphill. The “Climb to Conquer Cancer” in November is a three-mile non-competitive walk to the top of Mill Mountain. As WFIR’s Evan Jones reports, the goal is to conquer both the climb and, eventually, cancer itself.
