Salem City officials say an estimated 323,000 people attended the Salem Fair during its 12-day run that ended in a downpour Sunday night. It was the first time in 7 years the fair did not set a new attendance record, but the opening night turnstile count was the highest-ever in the 28-year history of the free-gate fair.
